Even with the rapid evolution of today’s data integration tools, there is still plenty of room for skilled consultants to create powerful and innovative solutions to address specific industry requirements.
A case in point is Astadia’s growing portfolio of industry-specific, vertical market data integration solutions built on the Pervasive DataCloud on-demand integration platform.
Astadia is a consulting company focused on helping clients improve their customer lifecycle management in marketing, sales, and customer service. Astadia specifically focuses on Cloud Transformation and innovation, and offers strategic analysis, operational design, technology deployment, and ongoing support for companies moving their IT infrastructure or applications to the Cloud.
While the Cloud Computing market is still emerging, it is evolving rapidly. Astadia is also growing quickly with approximately 220 employees in 28 global markets serving over 2,200 clients worldwide. The company is also facing a proliferation of competitors. Therefore, it is essential for Astadia to develop repeatable solutions built on reliable technologies in order to meet its customers’ escalating requirements at a competitive price.
I had an opportunity to talk to Cory Vander Jagt, Astadia’s Director of Product and Channel Marketing and IT Transformation, at the Pervasive IntegratioNEXT conference to learn more about how the company is responding to these challenges.
Cory summarized the presentation he gave at the conference regarding how to manage and deploy integration from the Cloud. According to Vander Jagt, Astadia relies on Pervasive’s DataCloud to create solutions to support various comprehensive multi-vendor solutions which include Salesforce.com, Amazon, Eloqua and Zuora.
This approach has evolved to build turnkey solutions for particular industries, starting with health-care. For instance, Astadia has worked with Texas Health Resources, one of the largest faith-based, nonprofit health care delivery systems in the U.S. and the largest in North Texas in terms of patients served, consistings of 16 counties and more than 6.2 million people. The health care provider needed help integrating its health care information system (HCIS) applications from Meditech, EPIC, and McKesson with its Salesforce.com CRM system to create an end-to-end solution which would encompass patient management, registration and medical records, including Clinical, ER, Operating Room, Imaging, Oncololgy, Pharmacy, Lab, and Accounting/GL files. This required both a powerful and secure integration mechanism to pull all this together. Astadia’s PhyRM Framework, built on Pervasive’s DataCloud integration to back office systems and the Force.com development environment, was deployed to meet the Texas Health Resources’ needs.
Astadia’s success with the PhyRM Framework has led the company to develop similar industry solutions, most recently in the construction industry.
