A couple weeks ago, about a hundred of Pervasive’s EMEA-based partners, customers and industry analysts gathered to discuss best practices and trends around data integration – including, cloud, Big Data, and data quality – at IntegrationWorld-Europe, which took place at the fabulously modern Cumberland Hotel in London. The event included an informative keynote from EMA Vice President Shawn Rogers who shared research from a recent report on Cloud Business Intelligence and Data Management as a Service, as well as engaging presentations from cutting-edge organizations that have worked with Pervasive to solve their most daunting integration challenges. Attendees also received a free copy of the report!
A lot of the value of events comes from our partners and customers having an open and frank exchange about their own business challenges and their experiences addressing them, sharing their own case studies, best practices and lessons learned. We try to keep that open vibe throughout the event. In a CloudAve post, Martijn Linssen, founder of We Wire People, highlighted that benefit: “What I especially like about Pervasive is the fact that they’re hype-free. They tell it like it is, and show that being sincere and open can lead to great success. They know what they talk about, and can relate that message to any audience.”
Linssen also blogged on his takeaways from the event , noting that “…the market for Integration is growing faster than ever, and the notion that it’s not about either-or is slowly getting through. If the last decades in IT have taught us anything, it’s that there is no next new thing that will take all our problems away.” Additionally, Data Migration Analyst Johny Morris wrote about his thoughts from the event on his Data Migration Blog: “Another aspect of the day that resonated with me, maybe more than some of the others present, was Pervasive’s take on what they titled Master Data Management enablement. Now straight off it has to be said that Pervasive does not have an MDM solution in their tool set. What they do have is a collection of tools, including Data MatchMerge that allows you to perform the selection, cleansing and structuring of data to put into a repository.”
For those who missed the event – no need to fret! You can access the presentations here. Additionally, below are some photos from the event.
Plans are already being made for next year – and if you are located within the states, you might want to check out IntegrationWorld-North America, taking place April 29-May 1 in Austin. As you can see, it’s one you won’t want to miss.
Hope to see you at one of our events!
