On Tuesday, we announced that Pervasive WebDI, an Electronic Document Interchange (EDI) service application built on Microsoft Windows Azure, is one of the first applications selected and validated to go live on the new release of the Windows Azure Marketplace. Pervasive WebDI is one of only four apps that can actually be purchased through the Marketplace, providing Marketplace community members with an application that streamlines B2B document exchange in industries such as oil and gas, manufacturing, healthcare and construction.
According to the press release, Pervasive WebDI is a .NET service running entirely on the Windows Azure platform and already has more than 500 customers on Windows Azure, including many of the largest oil and gas companies in the world. Pervasive is also a longtime Microsoft partner and has received Microsoft Gold Independent Software Vendor Competency status.
